The affidavit of heirship for vehicles, under Title 33, § 33-24-1 of Rhode Island law, allows heirs to claim the motor vehicles – including cars, trucks, RVs, and boats – owned by a decent who lived in the state or had these vehicles registered in the state of Rhode Island. If the affidavit of heirship for vehicles does not include a voluntary administrator for the estate, then one of the successors who files other affidavits and volunteers to become executor of the estate may determine who inherits the motor vehicles.
